Romanian faith and culture Open day at Romanian Orthodox Church "The Presentation of Our Lord", Glasgow

Romanian Orthodox Parish "The Presentation of Our Lord" Glasgow and Românca Society are honoured to invite you at the Open day.
The meeting will take place at the “ The Presentation of Our Lord” Church din Glasgow 111 Killin Street, G32-9AH, UK.
The event is an artistic dialog offered by Romanian community and will be presenting:
• Folk recital by Fabiola Petri
• Icons exhibition by Aurelia Chiriac Carabinieru
• Graphic exhibition and talk with the artist Eugen Petri, beneficiary of Brian Mercer Residency at Royal British Society of Sculptors
• Literary Club workshop- Young gems of the Romanian Literature. We hope that each of you will bring along poems of your own or other young poets.
• Fundraising for opening a Romanian library in Glasgow

Credinta si cultura romaneasca –Ziua portilor deschise la Biserica „Intimpinarea Domnului” Glasgow



Dragi prieteni,

Parohia „Intampinarea Domnului”Glasgow si Societatea Romanca au bucuria sa va invite la Ziua portilor deschise.
Intalnirea va avea loc duminica 16 August, ora 6.00 pm , la Biserica „Intampinarea Domnului” din Glasgow 111 Killin Street, G32-9AH,Glasgow, Marea Britanie.

Evenimentul de doreste un dialog artistic oferit de comunitatea romaneasca si va cuprinde :
• Recital de muzica populara-Fabiola Petri
• Expozitie de icoane realizate de Aurelia Chiriac Carabinieru
• Expozitiea de grafica a sculptorului Eugen Petri, urmata de discutii. Eugen Petri este beneficiarul rezidentei Brian Mercer a Societatii Regale a Sculptorilor Britanici.
• Atelierul Clubului Literar -Tinere Margaritare ale literaturii romanesti. Participanti sunt incurajati sa prezinte poeme personale sau din tineretea altor scriitori. Moderator Ariadna Petri
• Stringere de fonduri pentru deschiderea unei Biblioteci Romanesti in Glasgow

Prizes book in twenty two languages: Arabic (literary and spoken), French, English, Spanish, Romanian, German, Armenian, Dutch, Danish, Turkish, Greek, Bulgarian, Swedish, Lithuanian, Serbian, Albanian, Chinese, Kurdish, Kiswahili, Luganda and Arumanian.

During July 2009, laureates will found their chosen texts printed (integrally or in part) in the prizes' yearbook within a free of charge literary series, and shall receive an appropriate attestation giving them the honorary title of member of Maison Naaman pour la Culture (a life title with no obligations).
